The Kettle Moraine Symphony will present A New American Frontier beginning at 3 PM on Sunday March 4 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church on Silverbrook Drive in West Bend. A pre-concert talk describing the music will begin at 2 PM.
American composers are celebrated in this afternoon concert of lighter musical fare. Enjoy Bugler's Holiday and Clarinet Candy, popular 1950s era compositions by Leroy Anderson, as well as Aaron Copland's Appalachian Spring and The Cowboys: Overture by John Williams. Also featured is the student winner of the Moraine Area Private Music Teachers Organization's annual Concerto Competition, Senior Division. This year's winner is Elizabeth Rhinehart of Hartford, and she will perform the third movement from the Saint-Saƫns Piano Concerto No.2.
