Congratulations go out to all of the members of the Milwaukee Festival Brass. Over the weekend of April 1, they competed at the North American Brass Band Association's 2016 Championships in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In the Third Section (the bands compete against other bands of similar skill level), the MFB placed first with a score of 273.6, besting the other 6 bands in their section.
Other area groups included the Madison Brass Band, which placed sixth in the First Section, and the Chicago Brass Band which placed seventh in the Championship Section.
All the more reason to attend the upcoming concert by the Milwaukee Festival Brass on Sunday May 22 at the Pius XI Performing Arts Center at 3PM. Be sure to mark your calendar for that one. It will be a great concert and a fun celebration!
