This year's concerts celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Orchestra by presenting a retrospective of the music over those years. This concert celebrates musical diversity, from the classic period to today, from Mozart to Samuel Barber to Jose Elizondo.
The concert will feature pianist Gregory Hartmann, winner of the 2016 Walter A. and Dorothy J. Oestreich Concerto Competition. He will perform Piano Concerto number 1 of Franz Liszt. This YouTube link will give you an idea of his talents.
The program also includes:
- Estampas Mexicanas • Elizondo
- Adagio for Strings • Barber
- Symphony No. 40 in G minor, KV. 550 • Mozart
